The financial authorities have developed an educational program for insurance planners focusing on cases of excessive medical treatment to prevent disputes related to indemnity medical insurance.
On the 11th, the Financial Supervisory Service announced that, together with the Insurance Training Institute, it will launch an online educational program titled "Useful Miscellaneous Knowledge about Indemnity Medical Insurance."
The program targets recruitment personnel affiliated with insurance companies and General Agencies (GA). It is centered on medical knowledge and insurance payment matters related to surgeries frequently involved in recent disputes, such as cataract surgery and manual therapy.
Through this, the program aims to enhance a correct understanding of basic medical knowledge such as disease diagnosis and treatment methods, while also informing participants about related policies and guidelines, payment review criteria, recruitment-related advisory precautions, and dispute mediation cases.
The program will be conducted as a cyber education course by the Insurance Training Institute. It consists of a total of six sessions and two hours of video content, with flexible enrollment starting from the 14th.
