The event began with the general meeting of the Gyeongbuk Game Contents Industry Association, providing an opportunity for information exchange between existing and new game companies and sharing successful business cases.

It also included a lecture on digital human production, followed by an Open Talk session with related local institutions, universities, and companies based in Gyeongbuk.

The Open Talk session focused discussions on three main themes for revitalizing game content: ▲human resource development ▲performance sharing ▲growth strategies.

Participants shared opinions on expanding support for the creation and employment of specialized game content personnel linked with local universities, exploring cooperation methods such as practical training through connections between companies and academic departments, and hosting the Gyeongbuk Game Content Festival with local universities and Gyeongbuk Province to promote the development of the regional game industry.

So far, the Gyeongbuk Global Game Center has achieved results by attracting 43 companies through continuous efforts and generous support for corporate assistance, improving awareness of the game industry, and job creation to advance the game industry in Gyeongbuk.

This year as well, various support projects such as game startup support and game production and marketing assistance will be operated, along with hosting diverse events like game festivals and game jams to foster the game industry ecosystem.

Ha In-seong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, said, “This workshop was a meaningful occasion where we gathered to advance the game content industry in Gyeongbuk,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the development of the Gyeongbuk game industry by uniting industry, academia, research, and government.”
