After the warrant review, Gil responded to reporters’ questions about what he wanted to say to the victims by saying, “I am sorry.” Gil is accused of manufacturing drug beverages by mixing methamphetamine, obtained through a so-called ‘throwing’ method, with milk and delivering them to gang members in Seoul.
Kim, while appearing at the court for the warrant review, answered “Yes” when asked by reporters if he admitted to the charges. Kim is accused of installing and operating a relay device that changes the originating Chinese phone numbers used for threatening calls into domestic mobile phone numbers.
Earlier, four part-time workers in their 20s to 40s, paired in twos, handed out drug beverages to students near Gangnam-gu Office Station and Daechi Station in Seoul on the afternoon of the 3rd, under the pretense of a ‘concentration enhancement beverage’ tasting event. It is known that a total of eight victims, including one parent, consumed the drug beverages.
