Price comparison service Danawa announced on the 10th that the transaction amount for travel and outing-related products in the first quarter of this year increased by up to 187% compared to the previous year.
By major item, golf-related accessories increased by 187%, travel bags by 156%, and swimming gear by 134%. Additionally, with the lifting of the mask-wearing mandate, the transaction amount for makeup cosmetics increased by 76%, perfume by 28%, and beauty accessories by 24%.
Meanwhile, Danawa is utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) price comparison technology to respond to the growing demand for non-electronic categories such as cosmetics and clothing following the lifting of quarantine measures.
