Sejong, Pediatric Emergency Care Center Operates '24-Hour Service'
Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital has been designated as a 'Pediatric Specialized Emergency Medical Center,' enabling 24-hour treatment for pediatric emergency patients.
According to Sejong City on the 9th, the Ministry of Health and Welfare recently designated Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital as a Pediatric Emergency Medical Center.
The designation period is until December 31, 2025 (3 years), and it can be re-designated every three years through re-evaluation.
The Pediatric Specialized Emergency Medical Center operates as a dedicated pediatric emergency room, separate from emergency rooms for adults.
The center is equipped with pediatric medical devices, and pediatric emergency specialists are stationed 24 hours a day to provide treatment.

Mayor Choi Min-ho of Sejong City said, "With the designation of the Pediatric Specialized Emergency Medical Center, we expect that professional responses to pediatric emergency situations will be possible in the region." He added, "The city will support administrative processes such as emergency room modification permits for the stable operation of the center and will strengthen the cooperative system with Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital."
