Damyang-gun Hosts 'Policy Proposal Contest' Open to All Citizens
Realization of Local Government Policies in the 8th Term: Wealthy Rural Areas, Self-Reliant Economic Cities, and Village Welfare Sectors
On the 7th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold the '2023 First Half Damyang-gun Policy Proposal Contest' to successfully advance the 8th term of the local government.
This contest is being promoted to reflect creative policy ideas from the public, including residents and public officials, into the local administration.
The contest period runs for 22 days from April 10 to May 1, and anyone with ideas for the development of the local government can apply.
The contest themes are policy ideas to realize the 8th term local government guidelines and improvement plans for inconvenient current systems and regulations (life-related policies).
The 8th term local government guidelines of Damyang-gun include six policies: ▲ A prosperous rural area where everyone thrives ▲ New filial administration, ‘Hyangchon Welfare’ ▲ Communication administration with residents ▲ Dynamic self-reliant economic city ▲ Cultural city of humanities and gardens ▲ A happy city felt by residents.
The county will conduct two rounds of evaluation on the submitted proposals, assessing creativity, economic feasibility, continuity, scope of application, and effort, and plans to announce the results in May.
According to the award levels, the county head’s commendation and prize money will be given as follows: Grand Prize 1,000,000 KRW (1 person), Silver Prize 500,000 KRW (1 person), Bronze Prize 300,000 KRW (1 person), Encouragement Prize 100,000 KRW (1 person), and Effort Proposal Prize 50,000 KRW (4 people).
