Governor Son Byeong-bok emphasized that “the establishment of the core nuclear power project development complex should utilize experts in the field and formulate countermeasures after understanding the central government’s policy directions and information; the attraction of a regionally specialized university requires thorough discussions on the conditions desired by the university and the requirements of Uljin-gun; and regarding measures to promote the scaling and clustering of field farming, if the project has clear objectives and effects, residents’ participation can lead to increased income and improved quality of life.” He added, “Public officials must work with a sense of mission, which will earn respect from the residents and also enhance the pride of the officials themselves.”
