Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, held a meeting with local agricultural cooperative heads on the 6th.
At this meeting, they shared information on current pending projects and exchanged opinions on the mutual development of the agricultural sector to leap forward toward the goal of "creating sustainable agriculture and rural areas where future generations want to live."

They presented current issues and difficulties in agriculture, as well as directions to lead future agriculture, and discussed development plans for the agricultural sector.
In particular, the 16 heads of agricultural, livestock, and horticultural cooperatives in the jurisdiction, elected through the 3rd nationwide simultaneous cooperative head elections, explained and proposed various regional agricultural policies and the immediate tasks of the cooperatives as partners of farmers during their first meeting with Mayor Hong, broadening mutual understanding.

Mayor Hong stated, "To increase the income and improve the quality of life of farmers who are facing difficulties due to economic recession caused by COVID-19, rising agricultural material costs, and labor shortages, I will strengthen communication and cooperation with cooperative heads who have a deep understanding of the agricultural field."
