Damyang-gun Operates 'Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force Day' to Support Vulnerable Groups
Providing Various Services Such as Wallpapering and Home Repairs on the First Wednesday of Every Month
Jellanam-do Damyang-gun announced on the 6th that it will operate 'Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force Day' on the first Wednesday of every month starting in April.
Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force, launched on February 24 as the 2nd term, is composed of 201 members including experts in house repair, wallpapering, various facilities, as well as village chiefs and volunteer members, to support socially vulnerable groups who lack the ability to solve difficulties in daily life.
Every month, the eup/myeon offices and the Welfare Task Force investigate and select beneficiaries, and when they request support from the main office task force, the Welfare Task Force, composed of professionals, provides various wallpapering, house repairs, and other assistance on Welfare Task Force Day.
On the first Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force Day, they visited households in Damyang-eup that needed residential environment improvement and collected about 15 tons of household waste.
Going forward, on the first Wednesday of every month, they plan to alleviate daily inconveniences for households in need across the 12 eup and myeon.
