Gyeonggi Fire Department Donates Part of National Competition 'Prize Money' to Vulnerable Groups
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters received the Encouragement Award in last year's 'National Happiness Firefighting Policy' evaluation and was awarded a prize money of 15 million won.

The Fire and Disaster Headquarters previously ranked 3rd among provincial groups in the fire policy evaluation involving 19 city and provincial headquarters nationwide last year, and received the Encouragement Award on the 31st of last month.
The Fire Headquarters decided to donate a portion of the 15 million KRW prize money to 'Warm Companionship Gyeonggi 119,' a program supporting safety-vulnerable groups such as low-income families, elderly living alone, and multicultural families.
'Warm Companionship Gyeonggi 119' is a project where firefighters and volunteer firefighters who wish to donate contribute 119 KRW per day.

Cho Sun-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "We decided to use part of the prize money received from last year's evaluation to support vulnerable groups in the region," and added, "This year, we will strive to achieve first place in the evaluation for the first time in Gyeonggi-do by considering more creative and practical policies."
