Samyangsa, 1 Million Bottles Sold in 2 Months Since Launch of 'Sangkwaehwan Booster'
Samyang Corporation, a food and chemical affiliate of Samyang Group, announced on the 6th that its Sangkwehan Booster, launched in February, has reached a cumulative sales volume of 1 million bottles as of the 31st of last month, according to its own tally.
The Sangkwehan Booster achieved a convenience store store handling rate of about 80% within just two months of its launch. This means that 8 out of 10 convenience stores in Korea carry the Sangkwehan Booster. Targeting the MZ (Millennial + Generation Z) generation, the product saw high demand in entertainment districts and university areas. Related promotions are also actively underway. Thirty university student supporters promoting the Sangkwehan Booster product will continue their activities until the end of next month, and on the 21st of this month, a new concept brand pop-up store will open in Seongsu-dong, a popular area among young consumers.
Earlier, Samyang selected actress Lee Sun-bin and singer-actresses Han Sun-hwa and Jung Eun-ji as the new faces of Sangkwehan and released a new commercial. The commercial, unveiled in early last month, can be seen on TV as well as on the Sangkwehan website, YouTube, Instagram, and outdoor advertisements such as buses and subways.
The Sangkwehan Booster contains ingredients such as glutathione yeast extract, which helps the rapid breakdown and excretion of acetaldehyde, a known cause of hangovers, as well as ingredients like Hovenia dulcis fruit and milk thistle extract powder. It is especially made with passion fruit flavor to highlight its refreshing and clean finish.
