Bloomberg: "President Yoon Seok-yeol to Deliver Speech at Joint Session of Congress During U.S. Visit"
South Korean President's Parliamentary Speech, First in 10 Years Since President Park Geun-hye
President Yoon Suk-yeol is scheduled to deliver a speech at the United States Congress during his state visit to the U.S. later this month, Bloomberg News reported on the 5th.
Bloomberg, citing a source, stated that President Yoon will speak at a joint session of the House and Senate on the 27th local time.
Bloomberg added that U.S. lawmakers from both parties, who visited Korea, informed President Yoon at the Presidential Office in Yongsan that the speakers of the House and Senate will soon send a formal invitation.
This will be the first time in 10 years that a Korean president has addressed the U.S. Congress since former President Park Geun-hye in May 2013.

President Yoon will make a state visit to the U.S. on the 26th of this month and hold a Korea-U.S. summit with President Joe Biden. A state dinner is also scheduled for the same day.
