National Assembly Breakfast Prayer Meeting Easter Commemorative Service... Lee Young-hoon, President of HanGyoChong, Urges "Become Members of the National Assembly Like the People's Outer Garment"
"We need spiritual leaders who embrace our society with love, not leaders of conflict and confrontation."
On the morning of the 5th, Pastor Lee Young-hoon, the representative chairman of the Korea Christian Federation (Yeouido Full Gospel Church), said this during his sermon at the Easter commemorative service of the National Assembly Breakfast Prayer Meeting held in the main conference room of the National Assembly Members' Office Building, urging, "I ask the members of the National Assembly of this country to become a warm outer garment for the poor and lonely."

In particular, he said, "The fundamental answers to low birth rates and climate issues are already in the Bible, and same-sex marriage goes against the principle of creation and is taught to be prohibited. The problem is not following this," asking Christian lawmakers to take the lead.
The event was attended by religious figures as well as Christian lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties. Member of the National Assembly Song Seok-jun (People Power Party), vice chairman of the National Assembly Breakfast Prayer Meeting, presided over the event, and vice chairman Kim Hoe-jae (Democratic Party of Korea) led the prayer. This was followed by Bible reading by Member of the National Assembly Choi Yeon-sook (People Power Party) and a sermon by Representative Chairman Lee Young-hoon. After the sermon, Members of the National Assembly Cho Hae-jin (People Power Party) and Kim Soo-heung (Democratic Party of Korea) prayed for the country, the National Assembly, the Korean Peninsula, and world peace.
