14,465 New COVID-19 Cases... About 1,300 More Than Last Week (Update)
Recently, the number of daily confirmed cases has been showing a slight increase, with the number of new cases on the 5th recorded in the early 14,000s.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on that day, there were 14,465 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 30,871,740.
The number of new cases increased by 1,090 compared to the previous day (13,375) and by 1,338 compared to a week ago on the 29th of last month (13,127).
The number of confirmed cases has been rising for six consecutive days since the 31st of last month compared to a week ago.
Among the new confirmed cases, 10 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized is 126, which is 6 fewer than the previous day.
