Why Include QR Codes on Construction Site Banners? Ulsan City Says, "Report Inconveniences in One Go"
Pilot Installation of Intelligent Construction Notification with Information Patterns
Easily Check Status, Report On-site Inconveniences
Ulsan City plans to include QR codes on construction site notification banners. This is to allow anyone to easily check the construction status and report any inconveniences at the site.
On the 5th, Ulsan City announced that it had pilot-installed a ‘Smart Construction Notification Banner’ at the infrastructure maintenance construction site around Ulsan Station Complex Transfer Center.
The Smart Construction Notification Banner includes a QR code, so when you turn on your phone camera and hold it over the QR code, you can directly access the Ulsan City website’s construction status page and the Safety Report website. At that time, you can check the construction status and also report any inconveniences.
The existing construction notification banners only included difficult construction names, brief construction overviews, and information about the client and contractor, making it hard for ordinary residents to understand the construction information.
Also, to report inconveniences at the construction site, people had to either call multiple times without knowing the responsible department or access the internet to file complaints, causing inconvenience.
To address these issues, Ulsan City’s General Construction Headquarters pilot-installed the ‘Smart Construction Notification Banner’.
