Official Launch of Maserati MC20 Cello in Korea on the 4th
Equipped with Aerodynamic Design and Glass Roof Technology
Limited Edition of 5 Units Sold Out Immediately Upon Release
Italian luxury car brand Maserati has launched the convertible super sports car 'MC20 Cielo' in South Korea. The 'MC20 Cielo Primacy Series,' a limited edition model with only 65 units worldwide and 5 units in South Korea, sold out all 5 units immediately upon release in the domestic market.
On the 4th, Maserati held a launch event for the convertible super sports car 'MC20 Cielo' at the FMK Maserati Hannam showroom. At the event, Maserati also unveiled the 'MC20 Cielo Primacy Series,' limited to 65 units globally and 5 units domestically.
The price starts at 383.6 million KRW for the standard MC20 Cielo model, while the limited edition 'MC20 Cielo Primacy Series' is priced at 533.6 million KRW.
The MC20 Cielo is the convertible version of the coupe model MC20. It features elegant design and powerful performance. New technologies such as aerodynamic design and a fully retractable glass roof have been applied.
The MC20 Cielo introduces an electrically operated retractable glass roof. The glass roof can be opened or closed, and when closed, the glass can be adjusted to opaque. This is made possible by polymer dispersed liquid crystal technology. The roof opening and closing speed is 12 seconds, the fastest among vehicles in its class.

The design of the MC20 Cielo is both elegant and sleek. The design goal was to organically integrate all requirements while emphasizing aerodynamic design. It features butterfly doors, commonly used in supercars, and applies the exclusive color 'Acquamarina.'
The interior embraces minimalism. It is equipped with two 10.25-inch screens. Unnecessary decorations such as gear buttons and infotainment volume controls have been minimized on the center tunnel. The seats use carbon fiber, giving a matte fabric-like feel.
The engine is the same Nettuno engine used in the MC20 Cielo coupe. The Nettuno is a 3.0L V6 90° twin-turbo engine. It delivers 630 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 73.4 kg·m of torque at 3,000 rpm.
The core technology of the MC20 Cielo convertible lies in its sophisticated aerodynamic design. Despite having a retractable roof, it does not disrupt the clean flow of lines nor compromise aerodynamic efficiency. The engine bay air intake has been relocated to an aerodynamically optimized position. The B-pillar has an aerodynamic shape to allow air to flow smoothly over the surface. Through these efforts, a drag coefficient of 0.39 was achieved.
