Bukchangwon Nonghyup Opens Advanced Persimmon Farming Technology Training Course
Theory and Field Practice of DanGam Cultivation Combined Until August 10
Gyeongnam Bukchangwon Nonghyup held an opening ceremony for the 2nd Advanced Persimmon Farming Technology Training Course, targeting 42 leading farmers recommended by the local persimmon farming groups to improve the quality of Bukmyeon persimmons.
This training course, which first opened in 2020 but was suspended due to COVID-19, began accepting applicants for the 2nd session this year and started on March 23, continuing twice a week until August 10. The course is held in the Bukchangwon Nonghyup conference room and combines persimmon cultivation theory with field practice, led by a horticulture PhD.

However, this regionally balanced persimmon cultivation technology transfer training is expected to greatly help resolve these challenges.

Park Hyodo, the head of the cooperative, stated, “As Changwon persimmons have been designated as a National Important Agricultural Heritage, we expect this training to significantly contribute to improving the quality of Changwon persimmons.” He added, “We will do our best to continuously support the development of persimmon cultivation technology to raise the recognition of Changwon persimmons not only in exports but also in domestic markets such as large supermarkets and online sales.”
