Gyeonggi Office of Education Invests 57.3 Billion KRW in Environmental Improvements for 122 Private and Special Schools
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will provide 57.3 billion KRW to improve the educational environment of 122 private and special schools.
The Office of Education announced on the 3rd that it had received applications for educational environment improvement support from 124 private and special schools, and after on-site inspections by 25 education support offices and evaluations by a working council, it selected all schools except for two subject to sanctions as support targets.
The supported schools will use the Office of Education's budget to carry out educational environment improvement projects at 306 schools, including ▲replacement of classroom LEDs ▲replacement of heating and cooling systems ▲window replacement ▲exterior wall improvements ▲restroom environment improvements ▲roof waterproofing, and more.
The Office of Education invests 20 to 30 billion KRW annually in educational environment improvement projects for private schools. Last year, it allocated 99.3 billion KRW, and this year, 82 billion KRW.

An official from the Office of Education emphasized, "The remaining portion of this year's budget will be used through a second round of support in the second half of the year," adding, "We will strive to create an educational environment that satisfies students by gathering diverse opinions from private schools."
