FKI Encourages Member Companies to Participate in Domestic Demand Promotion Campaign
Efforts to Overcome Difficulties Faced by Small Business Owners
The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) has requested its member companies to participate in a domestic demand revitalization campaign.
On the 3rd, FKI announced through a cooperation letter to member companies that it has asked for the promotion of employees' use of annual leave and sending Korean agricultural products as holiday gifts to stimulate domestic demand and revive regional economic vitality.
The main items FKI requested cooperation on from member companies include ▲promoting employees' use of annual leave and domestic travel during vacations, ▲distributing employee vacation periods throughout the year, ▲utilizing major domestic tourist destinations for meetings and events such as seminars and training, ▲converting overseas incentive training programs to domestic ones, ▲attending cultural and artistic events on 'Culture Day,' ▲sending Korean agricultural products as holiday gifts and souvenirs, and ▲expanding the opening of idle local leisure facilities (accommodation, sports facilities, parking lots, etc.).

Choo Kwang-ho, Head of the Economic and Industrial Headquarters at FKI, said, “With the recent economic downturn and high inflation and interest rates causing a contraction in private consumption, difficulties for regional economies and small business owners are intensifying,” adding, “We hope that member companies’ participation in the domestic demand revitalization campaign will serve as an opportunity to recover the real economy.”
