Influential Launches Literary Brand 'Rabbit Hole'
Publisher Influential announced on the 28th that it has launched the literary brand 'Rabbit Hole.'
Rabbit Hole is a name inspired by the rabbit hole in "Alice in Wonderland," and as the name suggests, it aims to open a "new door" to a fantastic world in the Korean literary scene. In the future, it plans to deliver moving stories unfolding in diverse worlds, focusing on Korean genre novels such as SF, fantasy, mystery, and horror.
The first book from Rabbit Hole is the fantasy serial novel "Underwater City Takoyaki" by Kim Cheonggyul, to be published in March. Kim Cheonggyul, a novelist who brought a fresh shock to the Korean fantasy novel scene with the 2021 full-length novel "Ashes and Bubbles" and received great love from readers, presents six interconnected stories about humanity entering the sea to survive on a planet where glaciers have completely melted and land is disappearing due to climate change.
In April, a revised edition of Jeong Bora's "Cursed Rabbit," which was shortlisted for the 2022 UK Booker Prize International category, is scheduled to be released. This revised edition restores the original version of the title work "Cursed Rabbit" and corrects previous errors.
Additionally, Rabbit Hole plans to publish a total of eight books this year by authors such as Jeon Geonwoo, Song Siwoo, and Bae Myunghun.
