Yongin City to Refund 100 Million Won in Overpaid Taxes by Next Month 28
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will return 100 million KRW in overpaid and underpaid non-tax revenues to taxpayers in the first half of this year.
Yongin City announced on the 27th that it will operate a focused refund reconciliation period from the 23rd of this month to the 28th of next month, during which it will send refund notices or directly contact taxpayers who were unaware of the existence of refunds, and refund 100 million KRW for 355 cases.
Recipients can apply using the method stated in the notice to receive the overpaid or underpaid non-tax revenue refunds into their own accounts.
However, refund recipients who have outstanding non-tax revenues or local taxes will receive the remaining amount after deducting the arrears according to the procedures stipulated by law.

A city official stated, "To establish tax administration trusted by citizens, we conducted refunds of overpaid and underpaid non-tax revenues by department," and added, "We plan to operate the focused refund reconciliation period twice a year, in the first and second halves of the year."
