Gwangmyeong Wedding Hall Evacuates Guests Due to Bomb Threat Call
Unable to Find Explosives... Suspect Under Surveillance
On the 25th, at a wedding hall in Gwangmyeong City, Gyeonggi Province, dozens of wedding guests evacuated due to a bomb threat phone call.
According to the Gwangmyeong Police Station, a man called the wedding hall located underground at Gwangmyeong Station and threatened to "blow up the wedding hall." The wedding hall staff informed the Gwangmyeong Station office, and a station official reportedly reported the incident to 112.
The police deployed a special bomb disposal unit and a riot squad to search inside and around the wedding hall for about two hours but did not find any explosives. The bomb search has been completed.
As the wedding hall was controlled for the search, dozens of guests inside evacuated, causing a commotion.
