Gwangju Dong-gu 'Gyerim1-dong Gyeongyang Village Urban Regeneration School' Opens
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 24th that it held the opening ceremony of the ‘Gyeongyang Village Urban Regeneration Resident Proposal Contest Project Education’ to successfully promote the Gyerim 1-dong Urban Regeneration New Deal Project.
The Gyerim 1-dong Urban Regeneration New Deal Project plans to invest a total of 12 billion KRW by 2025 to improve poor infrastructure, including ▲repairing old houses ▲creating community hub spaces such as village sarangchae ▲forming and operating village management cooperatives.
The ‘Gyeongyang Village Urban Regeneration Resident Proposal Contest Project Education,’ a resident capacity-building program, was designed to enhance the planning and operational capabilities of the village community for contest projects and to empower residents as active participants in the village.
