Incheon City Utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) App for Infant and Toddler Psychological Counseling
Incheon City is supporting the healthy growth of infants and toddlers by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
On the 24th, the city announced that the Incheon Childcare Comprehensive Support Center will newly promote non-face-to-face psychological counseling using an AI app as part of this year's infant and toddler healthy growth psychological support project.
Instead of a counseling room, psychological counseling is conducted like playing through the AI app on a mobile phone in a comfortable home environment, with the AI continuously analyzing the infant's and toddler's responses to support the psychological counseling.
Earlier, the center selected 12 specialized counseling centers by region and AI app non-face-to-face psychological counseling institutions through an open recruitment for counseling centers last month.
The infant and toddler healthy growth psychological support project, which started in 2020, has received positive responses from parents participating in counseling for customized psychological counseling according to the individual infant's and toddler's situation. Last year, 151 infants and toddlers received psychological counseling support through this project.

The online developmental test allows parents to directly check their infant's and toddler's development online through text message notifications, and based on the test results, the city plans to actively identify counseling support targets who require early intervention.
Currently, applications are being accepted for each project, including face-to-face psychological counseling, psychological analysis using the AI app, and online developmental tests.
