Shinhan Financial Group to Hold Regular Shareholders' Meeting and Extraordinary Board Meeting on the 23rd
Jin Ok-dong has been appointed as the new CEO and Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group. Additionally, Lee Yoon-jae, an outside director (former Presidential Office Secretary for Finance and Economy), was selected as the chairman of the board.
On the morning of the 23rd, Shinhan Financial held the 22nd regular shareholders' meeting and an extraordinary board meeting at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, approving key agenda items including the financial statements settlement and director appointments.
Former Chairman Cho Yong-byeong said in his greeting at the shareholders' meeting, "Last year, our society faced a challenging year like no other amid an unstable international situation, experiencing various difficulties such as high interest rates, high exchange rates, and high inflation. Despite these obstacles, Shinhan's growth did not stop."
