Shinsegae International Changes CEO After 5 Years... William Kim Appointed as New CEO
The head of Shinsegae International has been replaced for the first time in five years.
Shinsegae International announced on the 23rd through a public disclosure that William Kim (KIM WILLIAM PAK) has been appointed as the new CEO. William Kim was initially nominated as the new CEO earlier this year and was officially appointed through a shareholders' meeting.
Previously, Shinsegae Group announced at the end of last year during the 2023 regular personnel reshuffle that an external expert would be newly recruited as the CEO of Shinsegae International, and the existing CEO, Lee Gilhan, would serve as co-CEO. However, Lee stepped down from the CEO position upon the expiration of his term and moved to the department store division, where he is expected to lead the Future Innovation Promotion Team to discover new business opportunities.
