KOSPI Narrowed Its Decline... Recovers to 2400 Level
The KOSPI index, which started with a slight decline, reduced its losses and recovered the 2400 level.
As of 9:19 AM on the 23rd, the KOSPI index is trading at 2404.22, down 0.53% (12.74 points) from the previous trading day. The index opened the session at 2398.27, down 0.77% (18.69 points).
By investor type, individuals and institutions are buying stocks worth 17.6 billion KRW and 4.1 billion KRW respectively, while foreigners are net sellers with 21.1 billion KRW worth of stocks sold.
Among the top 10 market capitalization stocks, all except Hyundai Motor (0.11%) are declining. Samsung Electronics (-0.65%), LG Energy Solution (-0.70%), SK Hynix (-1.50%), Samsung Biologics (-1.36%), Samsung SDI (-0.96%), LG Chem (-0.14%), Samsung Electronics Preferred (-0.95%), NAVER (-1.45%), and Kia (-1.14%) are all down.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is down 0.25% (2.07 points) at 811.36. The KOSDAQ opened at 807.53, down 0.73% (5.90 points).
Individuals are the sole net buyers with 60.3 billion KRW worth of stocks purchased, while foreigners and institutions sold stocks worth 30.1 billion KRW and 28.4 billion KRW respectively.

Among the top 10 KOSDAQ market capitalization stocks, the rise of secondary battery stocks stands out. Ecopro BM (2.11%), Ecopro (4.75%), and L&F (1.04%) are recording gains, while the other stocks are declining. Celltrion Healthcare (-1.52%), HLB (-0.80%), Celltrion Pharm (-1.14%), Kakao Games (-0.94%), Osstem Implant (-0.05%), Pearl Abyss (-3.56%), and SM (-0.98%) are all down.
