CU Box Signs MOU with Skyplay to Promote Generative AI-Based Metaverse Chatbot Service
CUBox, a specialized AI video recognition company, announced on the 22nd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with blockchain-based game developer Skyplay to promote a ‘generative AI-based metaverse chatbot service.’
A project official stated that through technical cooperation between the two companies, CUBox’s generative AI technology will be integrated into Skyplay’s upcoming metaverse AI chatbot, ‘My Avatar Life.’ The generative AI being developed by CUBox aims to create unique characters by recognizing users’ faces through a Diffusion Model. Additionally, both companies revealed plans to build a new business model based on this service, offering personalized services that are completely differentiated from existing metaverse platforms.
CUBox is currently preparing products and solutions in the AI video recognition field based on its world-class AI facial recognition technology. The company has also recently begun full-scale development of generative AI technology, leveraging its top-tier domestic video recognition AI capabilities. A CUBox AI Lab representative stated that a high-performance GPU server was recently added to facilitate the training of various AI algorithms.
Nam Woonsung, CEO of CUBox, said, “This technical agreement is significant in introducing CUBox’s world-class AI technology into a B2C-based metaverse platform.” He added, “Starting with this project, CUBox will aggressively invest in and conduct research and development to achieve world-class technology in generative AI models.”
Furthermore, Jang Sangok, CEO of Skyplay, stated, “My Avatar Life will learn from users’ personal experiences and provide enriched services through avatar growth using deep learning technology.”

Meanwhile, CUBox received preliminary approval for listing in February and is scheduled to be listed on KOSDAQ in the first half of this year.
