Jindo-gun and Busan Seo-gu Office Sign Cultural Arts and Tourism Exchange Agreement
Promoting Harmony and Development Between Yeong and Honam Regions
Jindo County in Jeollanam-do held a signing ceremony on the 17th at the Jindo County Office Situation Room with Seo-gu, Busan, to promote exchanges in the fields of culture, arts, and tourism.
According to the county on the 20th, the ceremony was attended by Kim Hee-su, Jindo County Governor, officials from Jindo County Office, Gong Han-su, Seo-gu Mayor of Busan, and Seo-gu officials. They signed the agreement and exchanged commemorative gifts of Jindo Hongju and fish cake sets.

Through this agreement, both institutions will cooperate to promote various cultural, artistic, and tourism exchanges, including △implementing cooperative projects to activate exchanges △jointly planning and conducting tourism projects such as performances and festivals △sharing traditional, historical, cultural heritage, and tourism programs.
As the first exchange project, on the 6th of next month, at the Gudeok Folk Arts Center in Busan, Jindo County plans to present the national intangible cultural heritage “Jindo Ssikkimgut” and a special performance “Park Byeong-cheon Style Jindo Buk Dance” to pray for the hosting of the 2030 Busan World Expo and hold a memorial service for the unclaimed deceased.
Gong Han-su, Seo-gu Mayor of Busan, said, “Through exchanges with Jindo County, the only folk culture and arts special zone in Korea, let us create new opportunities for expanding cultural and artistic enjoyment and revitalizing the local economy by attracting tourists.”
Kim Hee-su, Jindo County Governor, stated, “I hope that this signing ceremony will mark the beginning of cultural, artistic, and tourism exchanges and lead to active and broad exchanges in various fields so that we can develop together.”
