A Place for Tired Citizens to Unite and Heal
The ‘2023 Yeongju Citizens' Health Walking Competition’ will be held on the 25th at the Seocheon Riverside.
This event was organized to overcome COVID-19, revitalize physical activity that had been reduced during the winter, and promote citizen unity and mental and physical health.
Hosted by the Gyeongbuk Yeongju Sports Council, this walking competition follows a 7 km course starting from the inline skating rink under Yeongju Bridge, passing through the 1st Gahung Bridge and the 2nd Gahung Bridge, and returning at Hanjeong Bridge as the turning point.
The event is designed with distances and routes that anyone can comfortably walk regardless of age or gender, allowing all citizens to participate. It will begin at 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
There is no separate pre-registration process; anyone can register on-site by paying a participation fee of 1,000 KRW per person. Participants will receive a T-shirt, raffle ticket, and snacks (bread and bottled water).
