Professor Hwang Gi-sik of Dong-A University to Lead Busan International Exchange Foundation
Professor Hwang Gi-sik of Dong-A University Graduate School of International Studies has been appointed as the 7th Secretary General of the Busan International Exchange Foundation. The term is two years.
The Busan International Exchange Foundation is a non-profit foundation established to promote city diplomacy and private international exchange and cooperation projects. It was established in 2005 as an affiliated organization of Busan City.

Professor Hwang graduated from Korea University and earned a master's degree in political science and a doctorate in international politics from the University of London in the UK. He joined Dong-A University in 2008. He researches international political economy and regional integration theory and has served as an advisory member of the National Assembly Public Relations Advisory Group.

He has continuously participated in discovering international exchange and cooperation projects for local governments, policies related to local diplomacy such as regional economy and industry and trade, and promoting exchange and cooperation projects between overseas local governments and related organizations.
