Suwon City Establishes Monitoring System with Local Real Estate Agents to Prevent Lease Fraud
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has recently established a joint monitoring system with certified real estate agents in the Suwon area to prevent the increasing number of jeonse fraud cases.
On the 20th, Suwon City held an inauguration ceremony for the "Jeonse Fraud Prevention Monitoring Team," composed of 66 members from the Suwon branch of the Korea Association of Certified Real Estate Agents, at the Suwon City Hall's medium conference room.
The monitoring team will cooperate with investigative agencies when suspicious jeonse fraud cases are detected on-site and engage in activities to prevent jeonse-related damages. They will also promote methods for reporting lease transactions.
The city awarded appointment certificates to the monitoring team members and provided training on how to monitor jeonse fraud.
