Jung Mong-won, chairman of HL Group, received an annual compensation of 2.461 billion KRW from the group's main affiliate HL Mando last year, the company announced on the 16th.
According to the business report released that day, Chairman Jung received 2.201 billion KRW in salary and 26 million KRW in bonuses. The company added that bonuses were paid considering business performance and individual achievements. The company’s consolidated sales increased by 22% and profits by about 7% compared to the previous year. Chairman Jung also serves as a director of the holding company HL Holdings, HL D&I Halla, and HL Clemoove.

Senior Executive Vice President Cho Sung-hyun, who is a registered executive, received 764 million KRW, and former CEO Kim Kwang-heon received 1.166 billion KRW. The amount for former CEO Kim includes a retirement allowance of 836 million KRW, as he was responsible for chief safety officer duties, purchasing, and labor affairs.
