Miryang Muan-myeon 'Wildfire' ... 0.2ha of Forest Lost
A fire in a nearby hill in Muan-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam is burning the surrounding area.

A wildfire broke out on the morning of the 16th at around 11:47 AM in a mountain area near Ungdong-ri, Muan-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the forestry authorities, the fire was extinguished by the dispatched firefighters at around 12:15 PM.
Approximately 0.2 hectares of forest were burned in the fire, but there was no damage to nearby facilities or casualties.
At the scene, two firefighting helicopters, 17 vehicles and equipment, and 95 wildfire suppression personnel were deployed.

Forestry authorities including Miryang-si are investigating the exact cause of the fire, believing that sparks from a cutter used outside a warehouse near the mountain spread to the forest.
