Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra to Hold Concert 'Again, Spring' for Healing Itaewon
Conveying Comfort Through Music to Local Merchants and Residents
A classical concert for healing, recovery, and harmony in the Itaewon area will take the stage.
The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (hereinafter referred to as Seoul Philharmonic) announced on the 16th that it will hold a small concert for Itaewon, titled "Itaewon Again, Spring," at 5 p.m. on the 18th at the Yongsan Art Hall Small Theater Garam.

The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (hereinafter referred to as Seoul Phil) announced on the 16th that it will hold a small concert for Itaewon titled ‘Itaewon Again, Spring’ at 5 p.m. on the 18th at the Yongsan Art Hall Small Theater Garam.
This performance is a special concert planned by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in collaboration with Yongsan District Office to support the recovery of daily life in the Itaewon area. Through the concert, they intend to deliver messages of comfort and hope to local merchants, residents, and bereaved families in Itaewon.
The concert will feature a diverse string ensemble composed of Seoul Phil members playing violin, viola, cello, double bass, and harp. The performance will be accompanied by commentary from a Seoul Phil music librarian to enhance audience understanding.
The program includes Handel’s “Harp Concerto No. 6,” highlighting the beautiful tone of the harp; Offenbach’s “Jacqueline’s Tears,” featuring the poignant melody of the cello; Mozart’s 13th serenade, “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”; Handel’s “Water Music: Alla Hornpipe”; Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Strings”; and Shostakovich’s “Waltz No. 2 in C minor.”
