VC, Last Year's Sales 54.3 Billion Won... "Expanding Overseas Markets"
Overseas Sales Increase by 22% Year-on-Year
"Focusing on New Product Launches to Achieve Growth Targets"
VC, the manufacturer of the golf rangefinder 'Voice Caddie,' announced on the 15th that its consolidated sales last year reached 54.3 billion KRW, a 1.2% increase compared to the same period the previous year. Operating profit for the same period recorded 1.27 billion KRW, a decrease of 84.9% year-on-year.
A VC representative stated, "The development costs for the overseas-oriented simulator 'V2' and launch monitor 'SC4,' as well as hiring personnel for platform development, impacted operating profit," adding, "As part of proactive investments to improve profitability, we are advancing new businesses such as golf simulators (VSE) and platforms."
Sales slightly increased as VC's golf rangefinder 'Series' showed strong sales overseas in markets such as the United States and Japan. The company's overseas sales recorded 18.8 billion KRW, a 21.9% increase compared to the previous year.
Continuous investment in research and development (R&D) is yielding results. VC's subsidiary, VC Soft, launched the golf range application 'APL Golf' last month, which has surpassed 50,000 cumulative users.
VC expects performance improvement this year through the launch of new products for several key items. Starting with the watch-type 'T Ultra' and premium laser 'SL3' released domestically this month, the company plans to launch new launch monitor and simulator products, which are performing well overseas, within the first half of the year.
