Implementation of Grading System Reflecting Expertise
SSG.com announced on the 15th that it will introduce a new HR system reflecting a grade system, competency- and performance-based promotions, and a flexible compensation structure to secure competitiveness in the e-commerce business and future growth engines.
The new HR system will be implemented from the 1st of next month for office workers at the headquarters. It actively incorporates employees' opinions that the introduction of a competency- and performance-centered HR system is essential to maximize the capabilities of individuals belonging to specialized online headquarters organizations in functions such as tech, product, marketing, and logistics. However, employees belonging to logistics centers will maintain the existing HR system to reflect the characteristics of offline field work.
For headquarters employees, the existing rank system will be abolished and replaced with a grade system (1 to 5) that allows growth based on expertise and competency. Subsequently, promotion opportunities will be granted based on competency evaluations grounded in performance. The company plans to present diverse and bold growth paths for outstanding talents who have demonstrated job expertise and work performance. Regardless of grade, flexible compensation will also be expanded according to individual performance levels. Employees who demonstrate exceptional expertise in their respective fields and make significant contributions to organizational performance will receive faster promotions and greater compensation opportunities through fair evaluations.
