Participation of Private Experts from Education and Industry... 'Glocal University Committee' Launches on the 13th
The Ministry of Education is forming the 'Glocal University Committee' to foster competitive glocal universities that will drive regional development, and will hold its first meeting on the 13th.
The committee will include 22 private experts from various fields such as education, economy and industry, academia, and the media.
At the first meeting, the committee will review the 'Glocal University 30 Promotion Plan' and subsequently deliberate on essential matters for fostering glocal universities, including the basic plan, selection evaluation, and performance management.
The Ministry of Education announced a plan to select 30 universities and provide 10 billion KRW annually for five years to support regional universities in growing to a world-class level in response to the declining school-age population and rapid industrial structural changes.
