"Overseas Golf Travel Increases 13 Times Compared to Pre-COVID Period"

Interpark announced on the 9th that the number of golf package customers sold by the company from January to February this year increased by 1240% (13 times) compared to the same period in 2019 before COVID-19.
The most popular overseas golf travel destination was Kumamoto, Japan, accounting for 35%. This was followed by Bangkok, Thailand at 20%, Clark, Philippines at 17%, Da Nang, Vietnam at 16%, and Saipan at 5%, with Southeast Asian regions following.
An Interpark official explained, "As it is difficult to book domestic golf courses and costs have increased, golfers are turning their attention overseas." He added, "The establishment of a golf team last June to offer differentiated products tailored to customer demand also had a positive effect."

Looking ahead, Interpark presented a goal to partner with golf specialty companies to provide customers with a variety of options. They also plan to soon launch unique golf travel products such as golf packages in the Almaty region in cooperation with the Kazakhstan Tourism Board.
