View original imageThe Korea Real Estate Development Association has reappointed Kim Seung-bae, CEO of Fides Development, as its 6th president.
On the 8th, the association held its 15th regular general meeting at the association's main auditorium in the Teheran-ro area of Gangnam-gu, attended by over 100 representatives from member companies, and announced the reappointment of Kim Seung-bae, CEO of Fides Development, as the 6th president.
Since taking office as the 5th president in March 2020, President Kim has established a policy research office to improve the rational real estate development industry system and has promoted various projects, including the introduction of additional training programs for real estate development professionals.
He has also sought the development direction of the real estate development industry through hosting various events such as the Creative City Real Estate Convergence Advanced Course (ARP), the establishment and operation of the Next Generation Developer Program (ARPY), policy research seminars, and signing MOUs with academia and industry.
President Kim Seung-bae stated, “The real estate development industry is going through a difficult period due to the economic downturn, difficulties in project financing (PF), and the prolonged unsold housing crisis,” adding, “We will carry out various projects over the next three years to overcome the current challenging situation.”
In the short term, President Kim plans to strengthen public services by advancing the association’s office through the establishment of an online system for real estate development professional training courses and to support member companies by providing and sharing regional development trend data, thereby discovering member-friendly programs.

Additionally, in the mid to long term, he emphasized efforts to transform the real estate development industry into a spatial creation industry, strengthening the association’s external cooperation capabilities for proactive policy and system improvements suited to the era of hyper-convergence and hyper-complexity, preparing resilience to secure new growth engines after the recession, operating housing environment improvement programs for vulnerable groups, recognizing the social functions of spatial assets, practicing ESG management, and maintaining an attitude of empathy and communication.
