First Lady Kim Geon-hee Attends Women's Day Ceremony: "Let's Build a Fair Korea"
First Lady Kim Keon-hee, wife of President Yoon Suk-yeol, attended the March 8 International Women's Day commemorative ceremony held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, invited by the Korean National Council of Women, to encourage female leaders.
In her congratulatory speech, Mrs. Kim stated, "Although the status and rights of women have greatly improved through past efforts, women are still exposed to various social inequalities and crimes," and pointed out, "The government and society must work together to expand the social safety net." She added, "Let us work together to create a fair Republic of Korea."
