Jangseong-gun Selected for 'Youth Contest Project'... Secures 35 Million Won

Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 8th that it has secured a total project budget of 35 million KRW after being consecutively selected for youth contest projects hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

The Jangseong-gun Youth Training Center was selected for the ‘2023 Youth Program Contest Project,’ and the Jangseong-gun Youth Counseling Welfare Center was selected for the ‘Internet and Smartphone Family Healing Camp Contest Project,’ achieving notable results.

Jangseong-gun has been consecutively selected for youth contest projects hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, securing a total project budget of 35 million KRW.

The Jangseong-gun Youth Training Center applied for the ‘Changing the World Public Service Advertisement Haeba’ project and was selected in the digital activity category of the youth program contest project.

With a project budget of 20 million KRW, the training center plans to recruit middle school students interested in media filming and editing to collaboratively produce and distribute public service advertisements addressing various social issues.

The ‘Internet and Smartphone Family Healing Camp Contest Project,’ for which the Jangseong-gun Youth Counseling Welfare Center was selected, is a 3-day, 2-night program designed to improve family relationships of youth struggling with excessive use of the internet and smartphones and to establish a proper culture of smart device usage within families.

With this selection, the county will participate in the project for the fifth consecutive year.

With a project budget of 15 million KRW, the county will promote the program and select participating families starting this month, and operate the camp at Bangjangsan Recreational Forest during August and September.

A county official stated, “Through the selection of various national subsidy contest projects, we are promoting youth support projects worth over 100 million KRW annually,” adding, “We will accelerate the discovery of new projects and program development to expand support for local youth.”
