Suncheon National University Selected as Lead Organization for Early Startup Package
Funding Support Up to 100 Million KRW, Applications Open Until the 16th
Suncheon National University (Acting President Kang Ui-seong) announced that the National Suncheon University has been finally selected as the lead institution for the '2023 Early Startup Package Project.'
With this selection, Suncheon National University will receive approximately 10 billion KRW in national funding over four years from 2023 to 2026.
The Early Startup Package, overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (hereafter, the Ministry), is a startup commercialization support project that selects and nurtures early-stage startups within three years that possess promising startup items and technologies. In Jeollanam-do, Suncheon National University is the only institution to have been selected as the lead institution for eight consecutive years.
Choi Yong-seok, head of the Startup Support Group, stated, "We plan to focus on fostering Brand K companies to support the stable commercialization of startup companies and help them grow into global companies beyond the region."
Meanwhile, Suncheon National University is recruiting startup companies to participate in the 2023 Early Startup Package Project, with the application deadline set for 4 PM on March 16.
Startup companies that are finally selected through the project can receive up to 100 million KRW in commercialization funds and will also gain priority eligibility to participate in various startup growth support programs operated by Suncheon National University.
