Simultaneous Nationwide Cooperative Head Elections on the 8th: 18 Elected in Gwangju Region
The nationwide simultaneous cooperative head elections will be held on the 8th.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan City Election Commission on the 7th, 18 heads of agricultural, fishery, and forestry cooperatives will be elected at 22 polling stations in the Gwangju area tomorrow.
Voting is possible from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and voters must bring their resident registration card, passport, driver's license, or other photo ID issued by a public institution to the polling station.
The locations of the polling stations can be confirmed through the polling station status listed in the voting guide sent to each voter.
When voting, voters must mark the ballot with the marking tool provided in the voting booth. If it is unclear which candidate was marked or if more than one candidate is marked, the ballot will be invalid.
After voting ends, the election commission will move the ballot boxes to the counting center, where the counting will be conducted in the presence of vote observers appointed by each candidate.
The counting results can be checked on the Central Election Commission website and the simultaneous cooperative head election statistics system.
Meanwhile, voters who are quarantined due to COVID-19 infection on election day are allowed temporary outings for voting purposes from 11:50 a.m. and can vote at special polling stations for quarantined voters, one per district except Dong-gu.
