HanmiGlobal and Ddadteuthan Donghaeng Improve Housing Conditions for Families with Disabilities in Vietnam
HanmiGlobal and Warm Companion announced on the 7th that they have completed the 'Vietnam Spatial Welfare Support Project,' which improves the living environment of families with disabilities in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam.

View original imageSince 2010, HanmiGlobal and Warm Companion have been conducting spatial welfare support projects to improve the residential and living environments of domestic facilities for people with disabilities. Since 2017, the project has expanded overseas to include families of people with disabilities in Vietnam and families of veterans from Ethiopia and T?rkiye who participated in the Korean War. So far, they have carried out 770 domestic and 59 overseas spatial welfare support projects.
This year, through HanmiGlobal's Vietnam branch, the project targeted four houses of families with disabilities residing in Hai Duong Province. Renovation work on the living environment was carried out over approximately two months. Among the beneficiary families, the mother of Pham Thi Muon, who has an intellectual disability, said, "In the past, we used to cook by making fires outside, worrying about heavy rain and cold every time, but now that the kitchen has been repaired, it has become much easier."
The completion ceremony of the spatial welfare support project held in Gia Loc District, Hai Duong Province, was attended by the supported families with disabilities, Lee Min-woo, head of HanmiGlobal Vietnam branch, representatives of the Gia Loc District People's Committee, and executives and staff of the March 8 Center under the Hai Duong Women's Federation.

Last year, HanmiGlobal, together with Warm Companion, carried out housing renovation work for five families of Korean War veterans in T?rkiye. In the second half of this year, they plan to continue overseas spatial welfare support projects in Vietnam, Ethiopia, T?rkiye, and other countries.
