“Making Busan Blue” ... Daesun Brewery Conducts Plogging Event
Daesun Brewery celebrated the launch of the renewed C1 Blue by joining forces with members of an environmental group mainly composed of the MZ generation to clean up local commercial districts.
On the afternoon of the 4th, Daesun Brewery, together with the environmental group "Sseujubeun" (People Who Pick Up Trash), collected cigarette butts and other litter in Seomyeon, the central commercial district of Busan.
This event, themed "Plogging Blue: Making Busan Blue," reflected the ESG management philosophy of the local company Daesun Brewery and its commitment to regional coexistence.
Daesun Brewery employees and about 30 Sseujubeun members collected 140 liters of various trash during the event. In particular, they picked up approximately 4,900 cigarette butts, the main target of this cleanup activity as a major source of microplastic pollution.
Park Hyunji, leader of Sseujubeun, emphasized, "Illegally discarded cigarette butts are a major cause of microplastic pollution. Although small in volume, they are more harmful than any other type of trash."
Sseujubeun is a group mainly formed by the MZ generation, with about 3,600 members and a coalition of 30 environmental and social organizations conducting environmental cleanup activities nationwide.
Participants of Daesun Joojo's 'Plogging Blue: Making Busan Blue' are taking a group commemorative photo.

By cleaning the area, which has been struggling due to the economic downturn, they hoped to create streets that customers want to visit and additionally achieve promotional effects for the commercial district.
