Seoul City Announces Recruitment for Residency and Membership Companies at 'Seoul Fintech Lab'
Selection of Approximately 17 Companies
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 6th that Seoul Fintech Lab, which discovers and nurtures 'fintech innovation technologies' such as payment services regardless of operating system (OS), carbon neutrality services, and investment platforms, is recruiting 17 resident companies.
‘Seoul Fintech Lab’ is the largest fintech startup incubation institution in Korea, currently housing a total of 86 fintech startups, including 83 domestic companies and 3 overseas companies (including 11 membership companies). After moving into Seoul Fintech Lab, startups have achieved remarkable results such as being the first to receive the Presidential Award, government technology approval, and investment attraction through customized growth.
The newly recruited resident companies this time are divided into three categories: domestic, overseas, and membership companies. Applications will be accepted from tomorrow until the 2nd of next month, with a selection scale of about 17 companies. Any domestic or overseas startup in the fintech field with an innovative business model or item can apply if they meet criteria such as investment attraction and employment status.
Selected fintech startups as residents will receive ▲ office space usage at a low fee ▲ support through fintech specialized startup incubating programs including commercialization, investment, marketing, technology development, legal/patent, and publicity according to each company’s growth stage ▲ support for investment attraction, overseas expansion, and open innovation in connection with large corporations and financial companies.

Kim Tae-gyun, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Economic Policy Office, said, “Since fintech is already widely used in our daily lives, there is a high demand for open innovation from large corporations and financial companies wishing to collaborate with Seoul Fintech Lab resident companies.” He added, “We will support remarkable growth through customized support from Seoul Fintech Lab and collaboration among resident companies, helping them grow into unicorns in the fintech field recognized even in overseas markets.”
