Woman in her 40s hit and killed by shuttle train heading to Gwangju Station
A pedestrian in their 40s was fatally struck by a train on a railway track in Gwangju.
According to the Gwangju Northern Fire Station on the 2nd, at around 5:56 PM that day, pedestrian A (43, female) was hit by a train near an apartment complex in Dongnim-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and died at the scene.
The train was operating from Geungnakgang Station toward Gwangju Station and was confirmed to be a shuttle train running between Gwangju Station and Gwangju Songjeong Station.
Train operations were temporarily suspended while the body was recovered due to the accident.
