Choi Ki-young, former Executive Director of Ulsan Urban Development Corporation, was appointed as the 6th President of Gimhae Urban Development Corporation on the 2nd.
According to Gimhae City, the newly appointed President Choi joined the former Korea Land Development Corporation in 1988. After the merger of Korea Land Development Corporation and Korea Housing Corporation into Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) in 2009, he served as LH Talent Development Director, Public Relations Director, Chungbuk Regional Director, and Busan·Ulsan Regional Director from 2013.
A city official explained, “President Choi served as Executive Director of Ulsan Urban Development Corporation until last year and is an expert in public enterprises with abundant administrative experience and excellent practical sense,” adding, “He is recognized for his outstanding leadership emphasizing communication and harmony.”

President Choi stated, “We will reorganize the internal organization in the first half of this year to enhance competitiveness through efficiency in public institution management and strengthen accountability to citizens,” and added, “During my three-year term, I will build a public enterprise that successfully promotes regional development projects and aligns with Gimhae City's three major administrative goals.”
