Gwangju Police Agency Conducts Search and Seizure of Chosun University Professor Over Misconduct Allegations
Police investigations into a Chosun University professor facing various corruption allegations are gaining momentum.
The Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime Investigation Unit of the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 28th that they conducted searches and seizures at two locations, including the home and office of Professor A at Chosun University, on charges of obstruction of business.
While investigating Professor A for allegations of breach of trust and bribery, the police discovered additional evidence of obstruction of business and executed a warrant to clarify these suspicions.
Professor A was booked last year on charges of demanding donations such as development funds during the staff recruitment process, and during the investigation, further criminal suspicions including embezzlement of research funds and ghostwriting of papers were raised.

Based on the results of the forced investigation, including the searches and seizures, the police plan to conclude the case against Professor A.
